HOW DO YOU MAKE
YOUR MASHUPS?
Very carefully. I put a lot of time and effort
into making mashups, because I want them to sound the best. There are a lot
of great mashup artists out there, and I've learned a lot from them. Many
mashups you hear are simply one song's instrumental, and another song's
acapella. For me, this simply will not do. I like variety. When I make a
mashup, I'll usually start out with 2 or 3 songs that fit really well, and
as I go, I'll find some more pieces to stick in there where you would least
expect them.
WHAT PROGRAM DO
YOU USE TO MAKE YOUR MASHUPS?
I have always relied 100% on Adobe Audition.
Adobe Audition is a fantastic piece of software that really allows me to
manipulate audio in the way that I do. Without Adobe Audition, a Titus Jones
mashup would sound a lot different.
CAN I PURCHASE
YOUR MASHUPS ON ITUNES?
No, Titus Jones mashups are not for sale. You
cannot download them from the iTunes Store. Mashups cannot legally be sold,
because the mashup artist does not own the copyrighted material that is
being mashed. You may obtain a free copy of a Titus Jones mashup from this
website.
HOW CAN I PUT
YOUR MASHUPS ON MY IPOD?
You may visit the
Mash-Ups section of this
site, and download the mashes you want. Then, you can import them into your
iTunes Library. Then, when you sync your iPod device with your iTunes
Library, the mashups will be copied to your device for your listening
pleasure.
DO YOU TAKE
REQUESTS?
I do not take requests. However, if I like your
idea, I will steal it and pass it off as my own. Then if you accuse me of
stealing your idea, I will call you crazy, kick you, and run away.
